Hotel Blizzard perfectly situated in the heart of Val d'Isere just 200 metres from the main lifts. All the rooms are comfortably furnished in traditional Savoyard style with great views of either the slopes or the village. The hotel has the feel of a proper chalet richly decorated with lots of wood panelling, beamed ceilings and natural stone giving it a warm and cosy feel. It has a relaxed atmosphere with a truly cosmopolitan clientele. The bar is popular for pre-dinner drinks for residents and non-residents alike. David, the head barman has been there for years and will look after you with great flair. The food is excellent both in the main gastronomic restaurant and in the speciality restaurant, La Luge. One of Val d'Isere's best hotels but without the stuffiness or formality found in others.
As well as its luxury hotels, Val d'Isere, linked with neighbouring Tignes, has over 300 kms of pistes, vast areas of off piste and one of the best snow records in Europe with skiing as high as 3,000m. The ski area also boasts one of the most efficient lift systems in Europe and even at the busiest times of the year, queuing is hardly ever a cause for concern.
