Luxury Chalet Tiger'S Nest Lodge (Sleeps 10)

Luxary chalet Tiger's Nest is a home from home in the Swiss Alps. Owned by a Hong Kong-based British family, the lodge reflects their time spent in Asia, their love of architecture and design and their appreciation of Asian and European food and art. The house was born out of a desire to find somewhere to stay in the mountains as luxurious as the very best hotels in Asia, with the levels of service renowned in the Far East. The house is furnished throughout in a luxurious East meets West contemporary style in collaboration with one of Scotland's finest interior designers. There are superb linens, beautiful silks and cashmere, an abundant use of chrome, silver and glass, and stunning wall creatives throughout the four floors of the house.

Whether your focus is on healthy eating or sophisticated gastronomy, whether you would like time with the children or for them to be more independent with a nanny, whether you're on the slopes all day or a non-skier, or if you want a mountain sanctuary or a house to celebrate a special occasion with friends and family, our focus is on making your time with us unforgettable.

Your dining experience is designed to be one of the delights and highlights of your stay. Ingredients, menus and dietary requirements can be agreed in advance of your stay, or you can ask our chef to surprise you. With a focus on local produce, the chalet staff will serve Swiss, international and Asian cuisine and the experience can be as formal or relaxed as you wish. They also specialize in healthy menus. The chalet wine list boasts local vineyard selections, as well as wines from France, Italy and the New World.

With five double bedrooms, Tiger's Nest is perfectly suited for two families, travelling with or without a nanny, or up to 10 adults. The Tiger's Nest team looks forward to welcoming you.

The Spa: Tiger's Nest has a dedicated massage treatment room offering Swedish, aromatherapy, deep tissue and sports massages. In addition, there are a number of world-class thermal resorts, spas and medical spas in the Valais area. The latter offer a full range of treatments and procedures.

Movies: Choose from a wide selection of Blu-ray discs and DVDs for children and adults. These can be watched on the four high definition televisions in the bedrooms or on the chalet's portable Blu-ray player. Additional movies and TV shows are also available on our house iPad.

Games: The house is stocked with a wide range of board games and playing cards. We also have Wii. For the summer months we have access to two tennis courts 5-minutes from the chalet. In addition we have badminton, petanque and Kubb.

The Basement:
The dramatic basement and entrance area - perfect for sipping hot chocolate served by our house manager after a hard day on the slopes - are overlooked by Tiger Nest's antique Buddha's head from Northern China.

The Ground Floor:
There are three en-suite double bedrooms (two of which can be converted into twins) on the ground floor of the house. In addition, there is a further bedroom with a separate bathroom. Each room features the highest quality linens, beautiful French and Asian finishings, and luxurious beds. All come with Bose iPod speakers, safes, Frette robes and slippers, hairdryers and spa products. Three of the bedrooms also have televisions and blu-ray players.

Level 1:
The first floor of the house comprises a beautiful sitting room and dining room with panoramic views, a kitchen and a small study area. There are lovely gardens around the house, a breakfast terrace and main terrace with a fire pit for those cool summer evenings, or for champagne in the snow. There is also a separate outdoor yoga deck cut into the mountain slope for those wishing to practice yoga, Pilates or simply stretch or exercise standing on top of the world.

Level 2:
The master suite is located on the entire top floor of the house and has spectacular mountain and valley views. The suite features a romantic free-standing bed, luxurious linens and a spectacular bathtub for two with a skylight that opens to allow snow to fall into the bath. In addition, the room has a sitting and television area and walk-in wardrobe.

Les Collons is situated just off the main Rhone Valley between Martigny and Sion so is within a couple of hours of Geneva Airport. Its East facing home slopes keep their snow very well deep into the season and of course people staying in Les Collons have instant access to the 4 Vallees ski area of Verbier which offers skiers and boarders of all standards a huge and varied ski domain. Nendaz does not offer the vibrant apres ski scene and nightclubs of Verbier but it offers the same ski area and holidays to Les Collons for the same quality are much cheaper than in Verbier. So Les Collons suits keen skiers of all standards who are looking for a quieter resort. It is perfect as a family ski destination or as a ski resort for adults who are just looking to get away from it all.

We say... Very little expense has been spared in the creation of Tiger's Nest Lodge. The best architect, the best interior designer, fantastic builders and the creative vision of the owners have come together to produce a unique and truly luxurious property in the Swiss Alps. The chalet has been built in the middle of a large plot of land on an elevated plateau - mountain light and far reaching views pour into the chalet through specially commissioned floor to ceiling windows on most of the floors. Apart from offering a luxurious product Tiger's Nest Lodge really does offer its lucky guests a celebration of alpine living.
