Chalet Altesse in Zermatt is a modern development in the beautiful Winkelmatten area of resort. The location offers true ski in ski out convenience and also fantastic views of the iconic Matterhorn Mountain. From the chalet it is a short easy ski to the Klein Matterhorn cable car station and the Gornergratbahn funicular railway (at the Findelbach station) is also close by. At the end of the day (snow conditions permitting) you can return from the main Zermatt ski area and ski back to the chalet's front door. Should you wish to access the resort centre the free bus service stops just three minutes' walk from the Chalet Altesse building.

There are four luxury five star apartments in the building (one per floor) and each has been finished in a modern alpine style. Large windows allow plenty of light into the apartments and also frame lovely views of the Matterhorn Mountain and the resort centre. On the lowest floor of the building is a shared spa centre with Finnish sauna, steam room and relaxation area. There is also a ski and boot room with heaters and a lift which accesses each of the apartments.

The owners of Chalet Altesse, Max and Greti, also own the famous Zum See restaurant. Should you wish for a delivery direct to your apartment from the kitchens of this much loved eaterie this can be arranged for you.

The Penthouse apartment in Chalet Altesse is the jewel in the crown. This 155 square metre property is built under the wooden beams of the building's roof. Guests staying here benefit from the most elevated and best views of the Matterhorn Mountain and the wooden beams lend the apartment a 'real' chalet experience.
