Courchevel Village, France
Courchevel Village (formerly known as Courchevel 1550) offers a quiet alpine base within the celebrated Courchevel valley, itself part of the vast Three Valleys ski domain (Les Trois Vallées). Courchevel Village strikes a balance between ease of ski access and family-friendly accommodation options and offers a better value proposition compared to its illustrious neighbouring resort of Courchevel 1850.
Courchevel Village is a quieter less glitzy resort compared to its higher-altitude neighbours. Here guests will find a less frenetic pace, making it a lovely base for families or for those seeking comfort without excess. Accommodation blends chalet-style architecture with modern residences, and the setting commands beautiful views over the Tarentaise valley.
One of the major advantages of Courchevel Village is its direct, swift link to the rest of Courchevel and beyond via the direct link to Courchevel 1850’s La Croisette lift hub. Within just a few minutes you will be in Courchevel 1850 with its huge array of lifts giving access to the main ski area of the Courchevel valley. Within the Courchevel domain alone there are around 150km of marked pistes but there is almost limitless skiing of the Three Valleys, all covered under the same lift pass.
Evenings in Courchevel Village tend to be more subdued compared with the flashier higher villages. Think cosy brasseries and relaxed après-ski bars rather than high-octane nightlife.
